Well friends, according to the ancient ones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_phenomenon) us humans have little under a year left on our beloved planet earth, therefore I decree that we celebrate by dancing like there is no tomorrow(or if you like, as if there is no 2013)

Since June of this year I have been painstakingly researching, archiving and ultimately creating what I am sure will be the mother of all dance parties, featuring popular and perfectly crafted dance tunes/party jams.

This very special evening begins with a song from 1961.
From there the records continue non-stop, in chronological order through the last half decade right up to our current year of 2011.

50 years of dance music to go crazy to on New Years Eve 2012!!!

Soul/Girl Groups/Funk/Disco/Rock/New Wave/Rap/Hip Hop/R&B and more will get their due.

Every turn was mulled over, every song weighed against it's contemporary, every final decision grappled with. The strongest, in my humble opinion, survived.

I am so excited to perform this epic five hour journey through my telling of the history of popular dance music from the past fifty years.
Each song will be played from the original 45 or LP from whence it came save for a special segment from 1980-1989 which will also feature a fantastic video from each year.

I do hope to see you at the Woods and on the dance floor celebrating with me, Cooky Parker, the magical gift, the freedom provoking sound and what I consider to one of the most powerful things in the universe.
