For the fourteenth year in a row, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is hosting a celebration of musicians who happen to have day jobs.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a nonprofit organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world about the history and continuing significance of rock and roll music.

FORTUNE is the premier business storyteller, helping senior executives understand the complex business landscape while honoring their time outside the office. While the FORTUNE Battle is certainly a competition on stage, the real magic of this event is uncovering so many passionate artists.

The finals of the FORTUNE Battle will be Sept. 5 & 6, 2014 at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, OH. There will be eight (8) finalists and it will be a two-step selection process that will include CD submissions followed by live regional qualifying.

MONO w/ Young Widows
This instrumental band was formed in February of 2000 in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, MONO has quickly piqued interests in both audience and critics alike by staging overwhelming, emotionally splendid, atmospheric performances. In September of 2000, MONO released a 4-song EP called Hey, You. EP, released on Forty-4 Records, which received exceptional reviews in both Japan and the US. In March 2001, MONO performed at SXSW, broadening their fan base. In December 2001, the band’s long-awaited debut full-length album, Under the Pipal Tree, was released on John Zorn’s TZADIK imprint. The album was well received by a variety of influential underground media outlets.

William received his masters in counseling and worked as a psychotherapist for several years before turning to songwriting. He truly writes the kind of songs that most songwriters dream about; brilliant, heavy, complex and intensely personal…the songs are nothing short of breathtaking.

The trio came together to jam, then recruited guitarist (and part time barista) Brandon Wootten to join the band.
