Jim Avett has made beautiful music, all on his own terms. Although he has been singing and playing for nearly his entire life, he has also built his life in many other directions. He has served in the Navy, built a small business, raised a family, and much more. Although he has not always had time to perform heavily, these experiences have helped build him into the remarkably genuine performer that he is now. When you listen to Jim Avett, you feel comfortable, and learn a great deal about what’s important in life. Love, family, and honest emotion. Join us for an unforgettable night of music on Wednesday, November 28th for Jim Avett!

Jim Avett | 9:00 PM
The son of a Methodist preacher and a concert pianist, Jim Avett has been singing and playing guitar for most of his life. He’s done a lot of other things in the meantime – built a business as a welder in North Carolina, served in the Navy, raised three children with his wife – and now he returns to performing and has recorded two albums. He is currently touring in support of his third release on Ramseur Records, "Second Chance." In 2008, Avett released his first album on Ramseur Records, “Jim Avett and Family,” a beautiful collection of gospel songs recorded with daughter Bonnie and sons Scott and Seth of The Avett Brothers. He returned in 2010 with “Tribes,” seven original songs that speak of love and loss. His latest release, "Second Chances" is a continuation on these themes. When Avett performs, you feel like you’re sitting in a friend’s living room, telling stories and sharing a beer. His performance style is warm and relaxed, genuine and endearing. more >>>
