Wild Child
"I’ll confidently go out on a limb and say that Pillow Talk may very well be named one of 2011's “Best Of” albums. The vocals and harmonies are flawless and gorgeous, the strings are ridiculously catchy and dazzling, the keys add a brilliant substance, and the drums do a fine job at guiding each song (and your feet). This 15-track album is one of anthemic proportions; it's impossible to not sing along. After all is said and done, Wild Child's talent is undeniable." -Indie Shuffle

"Let me assure you, Pillow Talk is one of the rare releases from 2011 that begs to be played in its entirety. From the lulling yet heart-wrenching ballads to the feisty foot-stomping numbers composed of twang and southern grit, this album is of anthemic proportions. Wild Child is exactly what their moniker suggests -- untamed and youthful in their melodies, spirited and candid in their lyrics." -Bit Candy

"By far one of the best albums to be released this year." -KUT Austin Music Minute

"Pillow Talk boasts solid production values and a maturity that one wouldn't expect from a first record. The album is incredibly versatile and works well as a record to sit down and listen to or as that mellow, acoustic record you have as background music while working or getting together with friends. You should definitely check it out." -Austin Post more >>>
Sarah Blacker
Just recently named, 'Female Performer of the Year' in the New England Music Awards, 2012 Boston Music Award nominee for Singer/Songwriter of the year, Sarah Blacker, was recently called “one of the brighter artists to grab our attention recently,” by national Roots publication, No Depression. She is a full-time singer/songwriter currently touring in support of her 3rd album, which has already begun receiving airtime on local NPR station, WUMB. Last year, Blacker was also nominated as New England Music Awards ‘Female Performer of the Year,’ and her music video for her single, ‘Knocked the Winds’ won runner up in the Limelight Magazine’s Video of the Year, wherein she was nominated as Singer/Songwriter of the year in 2012. She was the winner of the Radio 92.9 / Boch Subaru contest and became the face and voice of their New England ad campaign for “ooh ooh it’s love,” NE Subaru, and was also named ‘Artist of the Year’ by My Rural Radio in 2011. Her song, ‘Smell of Caramel,’ was recently featured on the MTV show, Jersey Shore, and she was an emerging artist at the historical Falcon Ridge Folk Festival this past summer. In just under 3 years, she has garnered these accolades, performed at SXSW, CMJ and a sold-out tour of Germany, and has shared the stage with America, Rusted Root, Paula Cole, The Wood Brothers, Sara Bareilles, Jason Isbell, Carbon Leaf, and Lucy Kaplansky to name just a few. Her entrancing voice, poignant and emotionally charged lyrics, and mature songwriting has this artist on pace to go nowhere but up. more >>>
