Album Release Celebration
Returning to their once-hometown of Duluth the BlarneyGirls have enchanted audiences around the country with their unique blend of traditional and contemporary songs and tunes blending Irish, Scottish and Cape Breton sounds. A favorite at local and regional Scottish festivals around the southeast the BlarneyGirls are proudly releasing their latest CD “Play Nice” which includes songs by Cara Dillon, Sam Lakeman, Great Big Sea, Dolly Parton, originals by Michael Robbins and Reva Paget (the BorderCollies) as well as traditional songs and tunes from across the pond. Featuring the soaring soprano Liz Robbins, sizzling fiddle of Reva Paget and the solid backbone of guitar and bass of Michael Robbins this Celtic trio is honored to perform at the Red Clay Music Foundry. more >>>
A duo with a warm, evocative approach to folk music. Their debut album Two Hearts has been described as "...musically delightful and emotionally involving" by Sing Out! magazine, played on radio programs internationally, and charted on the international Roots Music Report.

Ron is an acoustic finger-style guitarist/singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His rich baritone voice, intricate finger picking, altered guitar tunings, original songs and instrumentals make his shows a memorable experience. Ron has graced many a recording project by other artists over the years as a studio musician.

Multi-instrumentalist/singer Carol Statella has played in backup orchestras for Joni Mitchell and Brian Wilson and has contributed to numerous recording projects. She's also been a music journalist and public radio announcer. In the classical realm, Carol played viola in the Atlanta Opera Orchestra, and sang with the Atlanta Symphony Chorus/Chamber Chorus.

Ron and Carol have known each other and been playing together for well over a decade, through many artistic and personal evolutions. Their sound has been described as eloquent and poignant. Onstage, Ron and Carol draw audiences in with artful musicality, occasionally inane humor, and absolute focus on inviting the listener into the depths of a song. more >>>
