If a young Ray Charles met a fresh-faced Gene Vincent in 2017 and they formed a duo, they would surely collaborate with KL & HRN.

A recording session at Sun Studios in early 2017 inspired two sidemen on the session, Cody Gibson & Kyle Lacy, to subsequently purvey a new path... for the traditional sounds of '40s rock’n’roll veered from its track, and the world found less tenor saxophones riding the routes of American asphalt to dance halls across the land.

Torchbearers Kyle and Cody, who bonded over a harbored love of Gene Vincent and songs written about muddy water, decided to follow their instincts and record an album with songs and melodies at the wheel. There is no question whether their separate apartments being a few blocks apart was a catalyst to how quickly they were able to craft and procure their debut album, Currents, within four months. more >>>
