The Dirty Bourbon River Show deftly melds sounds that range from hard-edged blues to Lisztian piano driven ballads to New Orleans brass into a result that is truly a blast of new energy into the musical landscape. Dirty Bourbon grabs hold of audiences, fascinated by their eccentricity and dexterity coupled with their ability to harken back to by-gone eras in music.Since forming in early 2009, the Dirty Bourbon River Show has released 6 studio albums and played over 500 live shows, fast earning them a stellar reputation for their tight, multi-faceted sound and high-energy performances. They can be found bringing their blend of “New Orleans Gypsy Brass Circus Rock” all over the USA, performing at festivals and respected venues year-round.
The Dirty Bourbon River Show is comprised of Noah Adams (vocals, piano, guitar, accordion, trumpet), Charles “Big Charlie” Skinner (vocals, trombone, wind toys), Matt Thomas (vocals, tenor, bari and Mississippi saxophone, clarinet), Jimmy Williams (bass, sousaphone) and Dane “Bootsy” Schindler (drums).
Their albums and live shows (both heavily intertwined) pair exuberant, syncopated lyrics with complex, harmony-rich songwriting and orchestration. They switch instruments mid-show (sometimes even mid-song), they all sing (except the drummer, of course), and they all have a penchant for theatrics (fireballs, group chants and stomps, whiskey pours – whatever the imagination calls for). more >>>
Raising Caine | 9:30 PM
Raising Caine is the manifestation of Nathan Caine McDonald’s songwriting, poetry, and enduring will to create.  Nestled in the Reems Creek Valley of the Blue Ridge mountains, amidst the clamor of daily life as a carpenter, husband, and father of two, Caine manages to write prolifically.  His well crafted songs have reached the ears and touched the hearts of many, earning Caine a position as front man of the talented and seasoned band, Raising Caine.  The music bleeds a richness and authenticity that can only come from the grit of true living, struggle, and desire to live an honest life to the fullest.  Listening to the music, one can hear the roosters crow echo throughout the valley, feel the spring mist settled on the garden some early morning, and smell the sawdust lingering from a long days work.  Backyard fires crackle in time with the beat to songs about love, heartbreak, and the working man.  Despite having many songs about the serious sides of life, Caine is a man who “laughs to keep from crying” and many songs will bring an unexpected smile to any listener who picks up on the humorous circumstances painted within the lyrics.  It comes as no surprise that Raising Caine was born in Asheville, NC, a small town with a big heart that continually magnetizes world-class musicians and artists. With the support of several select Asheville, North Carolina musicians, Raising Caine has joined the ranks of bands poised for success. more >>>
